American automaker Ford is planning to bring its iconic 2015 Mustang in the Indian market. It is speculated that the company will launch the new generation Mustang in Sri Lanka next year. If media reports to believe, this model will also go on sale in the country in 2015. Ford has revealed its plans of launching a right hand drive Mustang in Sri Lanka, and this could lead to a speculation that this vehicle will could also come to India.

The 2015 Ford Mustang is offered in 3 engine options- a 4-cylinder EcoBoost, a V6 and a naturally aspirated V8. The 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine is capable of developing a top power output of 305bhp and a peak torque of 406Nm. Its 3.7-litre V6 powertrain churns out 300bhp and 365Nm of top torque. The massive 5.0-litre V8 engine is capable of developing a top power output of 420bhp and a peak torque of 528Nm. All the engines are paired to a six-speed manual or an automatic.

Ford is yet to reveal the right hand drive version of the Mustang, but the vehicle is confirmed for next year debut. The vehicle will first go on sale in the European and the Australian market. However, Ford is also planning to enhance its footprints in Asia, and with the growing demand for luxury cars in India, Ford surely feels there is a segment for the Mustang.
