How to calculate aggregate using RGTU Aggregate Calculator?

You can use following aggregate calculate to calculate your aggregate -
Steps to use above calculator are below -

RGTU Aggregate Calculator is a calculator for B.E. students. Students can enter the marks scored by them in all semesters (out of 1000) and can check the aggregate percentage.

Instructions to be followed to calculate aggregate using RGTU Aggregate Calculator :

1. Enter the marks scored in the semester out of 1000. Do not enter the percentage (%) scored in the semester.

2. Enter the marks scored in all semesters, (i.e., from 1st semester to 8th semester).Do not leave the field blank.

Note: Aggregate is only meaningful when you know the marks of all years (all semesters). Therefore students should enter the tentative marks/approximate marks they are likely to get to know know what aggregate they could have, they can try to improve their future results.

3. Enter the marks scored in right order. Wrong order will give wrong result. For example, do not enter the marks scored in 1st semester in 3rd semester.

Tip: With the help of RGTU Aggregate Calculator, you can find out how many marks you have to score in the further semester to get particular aggregate percentage. If you do not know the marks of all semester, then enter the marks you already know in appropriate fields. Then fill the remaining blank fields with the marks you expect (your approximation), then check how much percentage you score from above marks. Try different combinations to get more accurate results.

Manual Method to Calculate Aggregate
Since manual method is very tedious and does not give right result too. but we are providing the way to calculate aggregate for just the case you want to try it by yourself.

Aggregate: In Engineering, to calculate aggregate you have to take into consideration of the marks.
The weight-age of the marks of different years in engineering (B.E./BTech) are as follows:

First Year : 10%
Second Year : 20 %
Third Year : 30%
Fourth Year : 100%

Thus to calculate the aggregate percentage, perform following steps:

1. Calculate the weighted marks of different years.
2. Calculate the sum of above marks.
3. Divide the above sum by grand total.
4. Multiply the above calculate value by 100 to get aggregate percentage.

Average: Average is simply the arithmetic mean of all the numbers (or marks) taken into consideration. For example, if you have 4 numbers (or marks), the average will be the sum of all the 4 numbers divided by 4.
Thus in calculating average all the numbers (or marks) are given equal weight-age.

Comparison Between RGPV Aggregate and RGPV Average

Aggregate vs Average

The two terms seems to have similar meaning, but when used in context with Engineering there is a difference between the two. Before having any further discussion about the two terms, let’s find what exactly the meaning of the two terms is and how to calculate it.

You can also following aggregate calculate to calculate your aggregate -
Note : Aggregate is only meaningful when you know the marks of all years (all semesters). Therefore students should enter the tentative marks/approximate marks they are likely to get to know know what aggregate they could have, they can try to improve their future results.
